The Twenty Fifth NSMC Special EU Programmes Sectoral Meeting 10 June 2026

The twenty-fifth Special EU Programmes Sectoral meeting was held at the Black Mountain Shared Space on 10 June 2026.
The meeting was attended by John O’Dowd MLA, Minister for Finance, Joanne Bunting, MLA Junior Minister at the Executive Office and Jack Chambers TD, Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service, Reform and Digitalisation. Minister O’Dowd chaired the meeting.
Ministers welcomed the achievements of the Special EU Programmes Body since the last meeting held in January 2026 in Monaghan and noted that all PEACE IV and INTERREG VA projects have closed and final reports were submitted.
The Council received a progress report from the Chief Executive Officer and noted that PEACE PLUS implementation is progressing well.
Ministers welcomed a presentation from Dawn Miskelly, CEO Ulster Wildlife, on the PEAT+ project, an environmental initiative which focuses on restoring peatlands across the programme area.
