The Twenty First NSMC Tourism Sectoral Meeting 28 January 2026

The twenty first North South Ministerial Council Tourism meeting was held in the NSMC Joint Secretariat Offices, Armagh, on 28 January 2026.
The meeting was attended by Caoimhe Archibald MLA, Minister for the Economy, Gordon Lyons MLA, Minister for Communities, and Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment.
Ministers welcomed a report on Tourism Ireland’s activity since the last NSMC Tourism meeting held in April 2025, including the large number of marketing campaigns and events undertaken.
Ministers noted a presentation on the ‘Collaboration to Maximise Benefits from Golf Tourism’ by Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland, and how the agencies are working collaboratively to promote economic growth across the island.
