On Monday 18 September the North South Ministerial Council Joint Secretariat welcomed a delegation of elected representatives from the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) accompanied by representatives from the European Parliament Liaison Office and AFET Committee Secretariat.

The delegation included the Chair and Vice-Chair of the AFET. The visit to the NSMC Secretariat in Armagh formed part of a larger three-day visit to Northern Ireland and London. Following a presentation by the Joint Secretaries on the work of the North South Ministerial Council the delegation engaged in a Q&A session with the Joint Secretaries, after which they enjoyed a walking tour of Armagh, hosted by Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Council before departing for further engagements.
