The twenty-sixth North South Ministerial Council Education meeting was held in Dublin on 22 May 2024. Norma Foley TD, Minister of Education, Hildegarde Naughton TD, Minister of State for Special Education and Inclusion, Paul Givan MLA, Minister of Education and Caoimhe Archibald MLA, Minister for Finance, attended. Minister Foley chaired the meeting.
The Ministers agreed a revised work programme for the Education Sector and received a presentation from Middletown Centre for Autism and discussed issues including Special Education Needs, School, Youth and Teacher Exchanges, Cooperation between Education Inspectorates, Educational Underachievement and Climate Change and Loss of Biodiversity.
