The thirty-first North South Ministerial Council Inland Waterways Meeting was held in the NSMC Joint Secretariat Offices Armagh on 28 November 2025.
The meeting was attended by Liz Kimmins MLA, Minister for Infrastructure and Joanne Bunting MLA, Junior Minister, The Executive Office and James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage. Minister Kimmins chaired the meeting.
Ministers welcomed the progress achieved by Waterways Ireland since the previous Sectoral meeting in May 2025, noting a number of awards achieved by Waterways Ireland. The Council also welcomed a presentation on the Shannon Tourism Masterplan 2020-2030. The Joint Communiqué is available here.
